Sunday-Tuesday sept4-6

Met up with Corina today and discovered Barclaw bicyles I like to call them backlava bicycles. WE toured the city roaming from one end to the next. You will see pics very soon…

Corina is a splendid bird I enjoyed her tales to English history and her amazing tour guidist strategies. The highlight of the night happened to be when we were dinning at a very nicely cheap Italian restraunt. WE spoke some English phrases and the man at the table next to us turns over and says hello fellow Americans! And I respond with asking where they are from and his answer is…. Drum roll please! Santa Barbara!!! Okay only being in England for one day and there appears a whole family from my area of the world. Who would have known. They not only where in London, they had just previously traveled through Scotland and where leaving the next day. WE chatted with them for aout 3 hours and departed with hugs, I have plans of meeting up with them when I get back to the states!!!!

Sept 5^th, body basil time wakes up up at 6:50am! It’s a eautiful thing, therefore I proceed with an early day, which includes, meeting a group of people who are doing charity work around the world and who are training in the hostile I was staying in. Then having tea and discussing Australia with my friend Stephen. These were refreshing morning activities along with some English breakfast which consists of fried bread, eggs, bacon, baked beans, and tea! It was a very relaxing morning to finish up my stay in the hostile.

Then it was off to the hotel to meet the rest of the study abroad students! I managed to get my 100 pounds of luggage to the Holland park underground station, over to district and circle lines all the way to bayswater. Using every strenuous muscle I own I hauled my bags up the stairs to the street and down some paths until I found my destination with the help of about 5 individuals along the way.  As I walk into the beautiful hotel lobby I meet Katiana and Maya who are very welcoming and inviting. I automatically am refreshed and am able to continue to put my luggage away, meet the rest of the girls and set off on another biking adventure around London. London is best seen by bike and nothing else, feet are too slow, buses there is traffic and the underground is well…. Underground… therefore the bikes take us one an extreme adventure where we see many sights you will see the pics in two days

Today sept 6^th was an adventure of a life time!!! I have never seen royalty until this day. I have dreamed of it my whole, live long life and have never even seen it. Today WE toured the Tower of London the Historic Royal palace!!  Walking through the old buildings created an ache in my heart where I desired to have richer history, deeper thought, and greater perspectives. I looked at the crown jewels and dazzled at their beauty. These reflect only a little of the beauty of Jesus. His voice reminded me today that I am royalty as well and right now he is building a place for me, I am earning the jewels, and it is going to be beautiful. I was able to share this with the other girls I am with and they really enjoyed the perspective and it blossomed some very touching conversation.

 To see gems is not enough, no, it reminds you that there is so much more. The gems have a revealing beauty that unveils the heart and exposes the deep desire for something greater and more powerful. I prayed as I gazed at some of the most beautiful stone on earth that the holy spirit would make my life like a crown filled with gems that are all from him, from a life in deep love with him.

Walking in the rain, rising my eyes to the towers around me, gazing from windows to stone bridges, gently breathing in the fresh air, and praying deeply that somehow I could be a part of something greater, that I could understand the kingdom of Heaven more. For this shadow is beautiful but behind the curtain is a mystery I am aching to see and understand. I am pulled to do greater than this, my desire is to be a whole person the way Lynda from South Africa described to me and Kaelyn, “Michelle Obama, her presence was unlike any I have ever seen it was as if what she did, what she said, and who she was were completely aligned with her heart.” WOW I hope Michelle reads this because that is a true compliment, you will see these pics in two days as well.. my next post will hold them J))
